HYDROGEN PEROXIDE HISTORY

Reaction Motors Inc (1941-1972)

General Information:

One of the pioneering fathers of liquid rocket engines - especially for manned aircraft. Hydrogen peroxide systems developed: X-1 main engine (RMI 6000C-4) gas generator for the turbopumps, X-15 main engine (XLR-99) gas generator for the turbopumps, Viking sounding rocket main propulsion gas generators for the turbopumps, Rocket-on-Rotor used hydrogen peroxide monopropellant thrusters on helicopter blade tips, Hyprox, LR-40 (Ref. 1).
